iphone apps

Iphone has become an integral part of many million people’s lives. Although still not considered the default business device as opposed to Blackberry, its capabilities are becoming endless. There thousands of application you can select from, both free and paid ones but all depends on what your needs are. Business oriented applications are still lacking to entertainment ones but some are very powerful ones. I have made a list of top 5 productivity iphone applications covering all aspects of someone’s daily activities.

Box.net – This is my favorite (till now) mobile application to store, access and share files with other team members. Their web application is really powerful but the Iphone version is still a basic one, nevertheless it gives you all the tools to upload and share your files. You can take photos instantly and share them at the spot as well. Box.net is more enterprise focused however you can still use it for your personal needs.

Evernote – The easiest and most efficient way to take notes on anything, keep your ideas and thoughts in order, snap photos or business cards, plan for your next meeting and do a lot more. All notes are indexed and easily searchable so you can have access on them at any time. There is a free version of the app and a paid one. It all depends how heavy user you are.

WhatsApp – The best mobile messaging platform to send text messages for free. It costs just $0.99 to get but it will worth the money. You can do group chats, attach photos without the hassle of normal sms and most importantly for free.

Ibearsoft – The best application to take full control of your finances. Track your expenses, control your income, view your liabilities and set up budgets. Interface is very efficient and clean. It costs $4.99 to get but it well worth the investment.

Gmail – The iphone application is as powerful as the web version. I believe Gmail is the best email platform at the moment, clean interface, fast and easy to navigate. You can view your discussions, filter spam, set labels and do a lot more. What I like the most about Gmail is that messages are pushed to your iphone automatically (you need to set option) , however, this may deteriorate your life’s battery much faster.
